Mustangs are the symbol of the American West. When most people think of Mustangs they think of a small, wiry Indian pony; nothing could be further from the truth. These amazing horses are loyal, sturdy, steadfast, and very intelligent. Besides the mentioned attributes they also come in every size, shape, and color imaginable, with personalities to fit a small child to the competitive horseman. Mustangs have won numerous awards in every discipline from Western to English.

Currently the wild Mustangs range on public land that is overseen by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). They range in 10 different states on what is known as Herd Management Areas, or HMAs. The Mustangs on these HMAs are occasionally rounded up by the BLM and put into holding facilities to await adoption.
